"My buddy and I fished with Captain Butch on the Ya Mamma June 22nd and 23rd. The 22nd we had some surprising rough seas once we reached the gulf. While we caught a good sized Dolphin within 10 minutes we had to go back as my friend was horrbly seasick. Butch helped us make lemonaide out of lemons though as we stopped in nearer calmer waters and found a huge school of amberjack and we were catching up to 35-40 lbs jack on light tackle with everything from Jigs to top water poppers. Even my seasick friend, well call him Lazeraus, was able to rise from the near dead to join in after sleeping a couple of hours. We ended up having a great day. Next day was beautiful on the water but the fishing was really slow for the fleet in general. We were reeling them in though. We landed 5 tuna totalling ~235 lbs, a bunch of King and Spanish Mackeral and ended the day with a big ugly Cuda (I know it isnt considered a great sportfish but they sure are exciting to try and remove treble hooks from with all those teeth!) Bottom Line: We had a great time and I would recommend this excellent boat and freindly, skilled captain to any one interested in off-Shore fishing in NC.

"Many thanks to Capt. Butch and Taylor for a great day of fishing! Catching my first blue marlin was worth the bit of sea sickness - didnt help that my brother was offering me beer and beef jerky after landing his white marlin. I was feeling great when the flags ran up coming back in to the marina. Look forward to fishing with Butch on Ya Mamma again, maybe for some fall tuna! " Thanks Again! Brian Kirby "4 of us Yankees booked Butch and Taylor on 7/3/07, we left the dock with 5 total (we took one of our kids, age 16)people. I have fished all over the world and I have to say with out a doubt our day aboard Ya Mamma one one of the absolute best days I have ever had on a boat. Of course it is always that much better when you catch fish and we did, we landed 6 yellowfin, totaling 350 lbs, and one Mahi, plus we had a Blue Marlin in the spread at the end of the dayALL GOOD!!! More importantly though Taylor and Butch provided us with a fantastic experience, it is not often these days that you can find that true sportsman experience, but we did and thats what matters. We will all be back next year!!!! Thanks guys!!!"
